Cubans leave everything behind when they decide to leave their homeland: friends, family and the dead. A journey to the last resting place took the award winning reporter and war correspondent journalist, Allan Villafaña to visit "El Cementerio Cristobal Colon" in Habana, Cuba.

It was Sunday, May 11, 2008, Mother's Day at nine in the morning when Allan with his camera in hand walked thru the ornate gates of the cemetery and discovered a fascinating architectural jewel. Once at this magnificent place he captured the massive mausoleums, vaults, tombs, and the hundreds of folks who make the pilgrimage to "El Cementerio Colon" to pay respect to their loved ones.

The reporter brought back the feeling and memory of the old Cuba, but also a story behind every photograph taken in this incredible set of more than twenty five images.
