Three years ago, Zu Galeria was born!
It has been a lot of work, and a lot of sacrifices. Many sleepless nights, a heart attack, and tons of other situations, however I am blessed for all the accomplishments achieved, the recognition by the press, the public, the artists, the poets and all who have given me the opportunity to show them what my dream is all about.

This exhibit, Historias para contar, three years later... is basically our journey. A journey filled with stories to tell, stories that have made us grow, made us wiser, and made us much more aware of everything and everyone around us.

The artists:

Carlos Acostaneyra-

Three years ago, Carlos came to me with about ten, 5 x 7 watercolors, and from that point on began our journey together. He took some months off, venturing into a new adventure, and then came back to Zu, where he has been creating, growing and enriching us with his exquisite talent ever since. This collection is mostly done using mixed mediums and the maturity of these pieces are a testament of his growth as an artist, but also as a human being.

Salvador Lorenzo-

One of the biggest gifts I have received these past three years is having this wonderful artist working with me since Grand Opening! Salvador is one of the most talented artists I know. He can easily work in any medium, from pastels, to acrylics, to his breathtaking works using cut-out paper. He is always finding ways to create, whether is on pieces of leftover wood, or tiles, or any other medium where he can leave his mark. This collection is just that... Diversity!

Candida Rodriguez-

The day I met Candida, I realized that I was in the presence of one of the most generous human beings, but also, one with an enormous talent.
For these two and some years that I have been promoting her work, I have become more and more enchanted with her pieces. This collection brings back her treasured fairies and other characters, however they have a sensation that they are moving on, that they are embarking on a different journey.
A journey of total freedom!
